Freak Me Out Group Exhibition
curator + artist + graphic designer
The name '怪我' comes from the Japanese 'Kanji,' meaning 'injured.' It explores the idea that being seen as 'weird' can lead to loneliness, self-blame, and societal judgment. The pursuit of acceptance often makes us hide our true selves, causing internal conflict.
In conforming to societal norms, we compromise our authenticity, leading to isolation even in a crowd. We, the seven of us, pose a question: If we embrace our 'weirdness,' will we suffer more or find relief? This exploration delves into the human experience of differentiating between the 'self' and the 'other.'
This is an adventure into the 'weird,' where games and artistic processes help navigate the complexities of embracing individuality.
I am delighted to be a part of this group exhibition, taking on the roles of both curator and designer. Being involved in shaping and presenting the artistic narrative of the exhibition is a gratifying experience.

show up in my dream repeatedly, I doubted that are they all in the script? If artificial intelligence can make art, I am not better than a Windows XP.
